MOTAT dash robots

Hello Everyone!

Today my class went to room 7 to do some coding with dash robots! 2 people came from the MOTAT to teach us how to code a dash bot. MOTAT stands for Museum of transport and technology. I had a great time, Me Eva, Anoosha and Stephine tried to code 2 robots called Miss Jacy and Keith, It was a bit hard but we got the hang of it! Miss Jacy and Keith kept on bumping into each other. We could change the eye pattern, light colors and even change what speed the robots move, How cool! The robots had one big eye and lights all over it!

They gave us an Ipad to code our robots, One person had to get the dash robot while the other got the iPad. We started to code and the lady told us 5 more minutes and we are going to make our robots dance in the middle of the circle!! I was so happy. We coded our robots and prepared them to do a dance, It was so funny because we made Miss Jacy (our robot) Burp!!  Stephine and I also made Miss Jacy and Keith make weird sounds in sync.

We were using dash robots and we were trying to synchronize them in these photos.

Thank you for reading, Have you ever coded a robot? Please let me know if you have, and please let me know what robots you have coded before. Please have a look at my other exciting moments on my blog page.

Thank you and please leave a comment.

Matariki Pixel Art

Hello Guys!

Today my class started a cyber smart challenge,  I was very determined to make this creation and I think it turned out pretty good. I made a nice big star in the night sky with a shooting star at the back. Also, I made this star because Matariki is coming up soon and in Matariki everybody comes together and commemorates and makes new memories. I made the sky pitch black so my star stands out.  I added lots of stars in the background as well.

Thank you, Here it is

Have you ever made pixel art? If you haven’t, it’s so fun!!

Thank you for looking, If you have any questions please comment.

Have a great day and goodbye.

Samoan Art 🇼🇸

Talofa Lava Bloggers!

Today I am gonna be sharing with you my Samoan art, I was very determined to make this art. It was very cool making shapes and coloring my background. It was easy to color my background but it was hard to color each box when I made a checkered pattern. We used traditional Samoan patterns and designs for our Google drawing art. It was really fun. We also learnt the meaning of the patterns. It was really cool picking a Samoan pattern.

Every pattern I made has a Samoan meaning.

Here is my Samoan art!!!

The first one is  FETU symbolizes hope and guidance.

You should try this!

THANK YOU I HOPE YOU LIKED IT BYE!!

Facts About Yuri Gagarin 🌌

Hello Guys!!

Today our class was doing some research about Yuri Gagarin. If you didn’t know, He was the first ever man in the world to fly to space. So because there is so much to learn about Yuri, me, Eva and Anoosha will be sharing our research presentation about the first man in space! Another fun fact, He was only 34 years old when he died and he died from a plane crash. If you would like to know some more fascinating facts about the first man in space, your in the right place!!

Space Pick a Path

Hello guys!!

On June 13, Me Eva and Anoosha started making a space pick a Path about the book called One Small Step. It was really fun but then the next day half of our slide was missing, but eventually we wrote it all back. I added some space images and we wrote lots of questions!! It was a bit hard checking if all the links were in the right place. The book is about Neil Armstrong and how he went to the moon. Did you know, Neil Armstrong’s

Hailstorm 2024 🌧🧊

Talofa lava guys!

today it rained and hailed so bad!! It started really rainy and stormy. Me, Eva and Anoosha heard little thunders in the sky. It started with just a little bit of rain, then lots, then stopped completely… our class was just chilling until… HAIL.SO.MUCH.HAIL! I badly wanted to go outside and play. Mr Albert let us play outside and I ran to the sides of the classroom to collect snow and make snowballs. All of the senior class teachers let there students go outside and play. So, I ran to my friends and showed them my big snowball. It was so funny! Mrs Patel took a photo of me and my big snowball. My feet were so freezing and numb when I went inside. I have never seen it hail that much so I had to make the most of it!!

If you want to see some photos or videos that Mr Albert took, here it is.

Thank you for reading and viewing. If you have experienced hail before, I would love to know about your experience.

I hope you like this blog post, I would really love to experience this again.

Bye and have a wonderful day.

Recount of Pohatu Class Assembly

Hello everyone!!

Pohatu Class assembly was so amazing. 2 weeks ago on Thursday. We went to the hall to practice our Scripts, Items and Dances. Eva, Anoosha and Bethany did SUCH A COOL DANCE. Then the Classes came. Me and Bethany were the presenters. Bethany was so nervous. I wasn’t. We read the first line, then second.

Bethany called the people up that were reading and telling stuff about Warren Pohatu’s life. The people came up and presented their work and scripts. Everyone spoke so clearly and I was very happy. Then I said the next line for the Kpop dancers to come up Witch was Eva, Anoosha and Bethany.

I was very surprised on how synchronized they were. THEY STOLE THE STAGE! And also their outfits were so cute. Eva had an Ice block Shirt, Bethany had a Panda bag and Anoosha had a hello kitty shirt. It was sooo adorable. They even learnt it so fast!

After that, Bethany read the script and she said it was time for a song. We sang the song and sat down. Soon after, It was time for our Handshake Item. Everyone was sitting in their correct seat and they were all ready to do their hand shake. I sat in my seat, then we did our handshake.

After that the assembly was done and we had to practice the Duffy song and Nga Iwi E.

⛽🚘Road Safety Week 2024🚘🛑

Kia Ora bloggers!

On May 21st we did a Kahoot about road safety and I placed 2nd. I was very happy. After that we made a poster about road safety. I found finding a png image on Google a bit hard so I just went on the app RemoveBg to remove the background of my picture. I found the perfect background for it. I think it is a really nice poster. I would like to say thank you to all the road patrol monitors for helping us cross the street safely.

Here is my poster! I hope you like it. The 2024 road safety theme is Road Safety Hero.

I really hope you liked it. You can be a road safety hero too!

Navigating Through Edublogs

Hello Bloggers!

Today our class was exploring blogs. It was really fun, I actually found inserting the photos a bit complicated, but soon after I got the hang of  it. I found the screen shotting part really easy. We had to screenshot and copy & paste our screen shot to our bingo. I wasn’t the first to finish but that’s okay. I navigated all through Asmah’s blog. She has a very good blog that includes LOTS OF TAGS and so much information. I found all of the information to put in my bingo board.

Here it is!
